Pre-acquisition revenue: $400 MRR
Founder says Supportman had passively grown to about $400 MRR and sold 100% to Damon Chen for $27k.
A microSaaS for Intercom support teams that sent customer-support metrics and conversation ratings into Slack.

Noah Bragg built Supportman on nights and weekends for Intercom support teams, needed 7.5 months to reach $100 MRR, then later sold the small SaaS for $27k after it grew to about $400 MRR.
Noah Bragg started Supportman on January 1, 2020 as a side project while keeping his full-time job. The product was a small Intercom add-on for support teams: conversation ratings in Slack and a weekly report of the metrics support teams cared about. He expected the Intercom App Store to do much of the distribution work, but the market taught him otherwise.
The MVP took a little over three months to build. Noah made the first commit on March 27 and launched on June 12. The next two months were mostly sales, trust-building, and customer requests. He estimates he personally messaged or emailed about 120 potential customers, including people in support Slack communities. Only one current paying customer came from a cold Slack DM. The other three early customers came through Twitter, where he posted product updates, tagged Intercom, and wrote helpful support-team content.
Supportman reached $100 MRR on August 7, 2020: 7.5 months after Noah started customer discovery. The milestone was small, but meaningful because it made the product profitable and proved that strangers would pay for the workflow. The bigger lesson was that a platform listing did not replace doing direct sales or earning trust in the customer community.
Less than a year later, Supportman had grown passively to about $400 MRR while Noah focused on Potion. He tweeted about possibly selling it, listed it on MicroAcquire, and created a simple one-page buyer summary. About 10 interested buyers appeared from Twitter and MicroAcquire. Because Noah already trusted Damon Chen from the build-in-public community, they agreed on a $27,000 sale for 100% of Supportman in roughly five hours.
A platform marketplace is not a full acquisition strategy: even Intercom New and Noteworthy only produced a small trickle of signups.
Tiny B2B SaaS milestones can still take months because trust, outreach, and feature iteration are part of the product work.
Early customers often come from different channels than expected; Supportman's first set came more from Twitter and relationships than the app store.
A small recurring-revenue asset can still be valuable when the buyer sees clean scope, real MRR, and a trusted seller.
You have the story. Make it actionable: what worked, what to copy, what to avoid, and which channel to test first.
