Dave Rogenmoser launched Conversion.ai and grew to 100K paying customers in under 2 years, reaching unicorn status in 18 months.
On January 15th, 2021, we launched Conversion.ai. It would eventually become Jarvis, and after Marvel sent me a letter, would achieve its final form of Jasper. We thought it would be good. But had no idea how good.
The reactions from our early customers were visceral. People were creating marketing copy in seconds that would have taken them hours. We leveraged our extensive digital marketing background to spread the word.
Within two years, we had over 100,000 paying customers. The growth was unlike anything I'd experienced in my previous startups.
In October 2022, just 18 months after launch, we raised a $125M Series A at a $1.5B valuation. We went from a small team to a unicorn faster than almost any company in history.
When we were called Jarvis, Marvel's lawyers sent us a cease and desist. Iron Man's AI assistant was apparently protected IP. So Jarvis became Jasper.
