Business Coach startet B-School, erstes Million-Dollar-Launch im zweiten Jahr

Marie Forleo and co-founder Laura Roeder built B-School out of their own frustration with the online business education that existed at the time: Marie says she was struggling to learn entrepreneurship herself and felt small business education was missing values she'd grown up with, while Laura (in her own retrospective) frames it as noticing no one told the truth about what it actually takes to succeed online and that the only options were 'scammy conferences.'

“I was desperately trying to learn about entrepreneurship and how to grow a business because I had no clue.”

The first cohort came through the founders' own email audience: free training videos went out in the run-up to enrollment, and Marie says close to 230 women from all over the world went through the first program.

The first paying customers enrolled when Laura Roeder announced on the program blog on August 10, 2010 that enrollment was open, pointing the list built by the free pre-launch videos straight to the sales page; B-School was paid from day one.
