Visual no-code automation platform (formerly Integromat) that connects apps and services into automated workflows β bootstrapped to $107M acquisition.
How Ondrej acquired customers
Tools used to build Make
A team from Prague spent 4 years building before they launched publicly. Zero VC funding. $10M revenue. Acquired by Celonis for $107M.
In 2012, Ondrej Gazda (business) and Patrik Simek (CTO) began building what would become Integromat β a visual automation platform β as part of a small company called Cloud Service in Prague, Czech Republic. They were joined by four other co-founders: Roman Brslica, Tomas Schel, Pavel Duras, and Michal Toman.
While Zapier launched in 2012 with a lean MVP, the Integromat team took the opposite approach: they built for four years before going public. They created a deeply powerful visual automation builder from scratch β not a Zapier clone, but a fundamentally different approach with visual routing, error handling, and data transformation that power users loved.
Integromat launched publicly in 2016 and grew without a single dollar of venture capital. No seed round, no Series A. Just product quality and word-of-mouth in the growing no-code/automation community. By 2019, they were growing at 277% year-over-year. Paying users tripled.
By 2020, Integromat hit $10M in revenue with 250,000+ customers and 375,000+ users β all bootstrapped from Prague. In October 2020, Celonis acquired them for approximately $107M. The company rebranded to Make in February 2022.
